Private lake, creek, springs on 160 acres in lush forest with great views! Miles of trails for easy strolls, challenging
hikes or horseback rides linking up with the Pacific Crest Trail. Deep in the backcountry, secluded and private
at the end of the road in the Shasta National Forest, this charming old farm has not changed much since it was settled in the early
1890’s at the head of the creek. The small meadows provide relaxing vistas with the forest and mountains as a backdrop. The large
1895 barn and 1921 log house were built entirely by hand from local timber. At 2500’, it is about 12 degrees cooler than in the valley.
Enjoy relatively insect-free solitude and quiet forest walks on easy footpaths and horsetrails through level to gently rolling dense
and varied forest where dogwood, moss and ferns interplay with tall timber and ancient mountain oak, madrone and yew. Impressive
flower displays,
nearby awesome swimming holes, hot springs and waterfalls make it ideal for
romantics and artists.
To avoid disappointment, please reserve early; Colette will be happy to assist you in your plans. More PHOTOS—MAP button at end of page.
